SNOW CENTRE VISIT & ANTARCTICA TOPIC
Y1 had an exciting and memorable visit to The Snow Centre, Manchester as part of their learning about Antarctica and the explorer Scott of the Antarctic. The children loved every moment of the experience and showed fantastic resilience - especially when they had to drag the doughnut up the escalator, helping them imagine the challenges Scott faced on his long, difficult journey! They also had a visit from female winner of the 2026 Montane Arctic Spine race, Kirstie Law. She explained what it is like to do a gruelling arctic walk/run and showed them all her specialist equipment needed to navigate and train for the arctic race. Thank you for coming in Kirstie, the children loved asking you lots of interesting questions.
MILLIE'S MARVELLOUS HATS
We had so much fun at our hat parade fashion show! Everyone was absolutely amazing and really embraced the project and their moment on the catwalk. It was also fantastic to see such a great turnout from parents/carers; thank you for being there and supporting the event!
